The San Diego Center for the Arts In Collaboration with Trummerflora Collective
Michel Doneda and Le Quan Ninh will play a set of duets, then will be joined by Nathan Hubbard, Jeanette Kangas and Ellen Weller. Refreshments will be served. This is the first in a series of monthly house concerts. The purpose of the San Diego Center for the Arts is to encourage and support the arts as a tool for promoting health, wellness, and the uplifting of the soul. We wish to provide a non-authoritarian space for those engaged in creative art forms as well as a forum for artists who typically do not have access to mainstream venues to expose, share and explore their work. We also plan to offer classes and workshops, showings, readings, performances, salons, etc.

Performance at the International Society for Improvised Music Conference held in conjunction with UCSC. Trummerfloran Scott Walton will be performing with Glen Whitehead, and Ellen Weller will be performing on Ellen Burr's piece, which features three Southern California flutists exploring physical and tonal space using piccolos, C and alto flutes. Other San Diego performers on the weekend included David Borgo, Jeff Kaiser, Larry Karush, and Kris Tiner. The keynote speaker is George Lewis.
