Shipp/Parker/Cleaver
The New York Times calls Matthew Shipp "the most significant pianist of avant-garde jazz since Cecil Taylor." Bassist William Parker is one of the premier improvising musicians on the international scene, and percussionist Cleaver is a product of the rich musical tradition of Detroit. As a trio Shipp, Parker and Cleaver will create sounds that are part classical, part jazz, and completely original.
