Aspect of Physics
Aspect of Physics members Jason Soares, Matt Lorenz, and JFRE Coad blend together electonic, IDM, post rock, and minimalism along with interactive visuals to create an exciting live scenario. Instrumentation includes laptops/computers, midi controllers, guitars, synths, modified electronic devices and a random array of video epuipment. A colloquim on their Energy Language System will follow the performance.

NOISE at the Library
NOISE will present a premiere by Southern California composer Steve Voigt for NOISE and a solo piano premiere by Richard Carrick performed by Luciane Cardassi. Flutist Jane Rigler will be joining NOISE to perform a solo work of her own and the flute duets by John Fonville (Mong Songs). Also included are pieces by Elliott Carter (Enchanted Preludes), Brian Ferneyhough (Cassandra's Dream Song), and a piece by Benedict Weisser (Demontage/Remontage).

Pre-concert talk by Steve Voigt and Jane Rigler at 6:30.

Ticket prices are $15 for non-members, $13 for members, and $7 student rush.

The Brooklyn Sax Quartet co-founded by tenor saxophonist David Bindman and baritone saxophonist Fred Ho is 1995, and joined by Sam Furnace and Chris Jonas, is a boldly colorful, radical saxophone quartet, performing orginal works and arrrangements which span the breadth of new music and harmonically rooted blues-based traditions.
